The leadership of the fraternity and sorority community at IWU strives to provide multiple opportunities throughout the year for our members to bond with each other regardless of chapter affiliation. These activities and events are coordinated by the Director of Community Programs on the Fraternity & Sorority Programming Board, a shared organization between the governing councils within our community. Additionally, we encourage our members to attend the robust opportunities across campus that allow them to develop a stronger sense of community.
The FSPB is a planning partner in the IWU Homecoming Student Coalition, the planning committee behind the student homecoming events. While all of the events during this week are open to fraternities and sororities, some of the signature events for our chapters are Lip Sync and Titan Games, specifically Rope Pull between Phi Gamma Delta and Sigma Chi, Chariot Race between Acacia, Tau Kappa Epsilon, and Theta Chi, and Sorority Scramble between Alpha Gamma Delta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Sigma Kappa.
This year Homecoming Weekend is Friday, October 13 - Sunday, October 15. Check out the IWU Homecoming Student Coalition page for more details.
One of the highlights of the year for our community is our annual Greek Week activities. Part of the FSPB, the Greek Week Steering Committee consists of members from all of our chapters and is chaired by the Director of Community Programs. Each year this committee selects a theme and plans activities and events that rang from being educational to entertainment to friendly competition.
In addition to the above programs, we promote various activities around campus. If you have an idea for a program to help our community members bond, please let FSPB know via email.
