At Illinois Wesleyan University, we aren’t focused on simply helping you satisfy degree requirements. Instead, we want to provide you with an educational experience that will help you fully explore who you are, what you want, and how to get there.

As liberal arts graduates, our alumni are lifelong learners, successful in a variety of career fields. But more importantly they learn to be leaders, innovators and community builders. You will experience rigor in the classroom and become fully engaged outside the classroom. Below are just a few distinctive features of an Illinois Wesleyan education that will take you well beyond the typical college experience:

What Students Say About Study Abroad

Gaining a Perspective

Preparing graduates for life in an increasingly interdependent global community is a key part of every Illinois Wesleyan education.

One in two of our graduates will study abroad during their four years at the University, and all students on campus have the opportunity to interact with classmates and faculty who come to us from across the globe. Currently, our alumni can be found in 52 countries around the world.

Whether it's music, athletics, Greek life, volunteerism, theater, checking out the local community or simply hanging out with your friends, there's always something to do when classes are done!
