Family Weekend 2021 will take place in conjunction with Homecoming October 1-3, 2021.
IWU Virtual Family Day
Due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to move Family Weekend
to a one-day virtual experience, IWU Virtual Family Day. This aligns with the decision
to also make Homecoming a mostly virtual experience for alumni members of the Titan
community. It is our hope you’ll engage in one or more of the events below.
Saturday, October 2: What’s Next for Your Student at IWU?
This is a panel featuring Chandra Shipley, Director of Academic Advising, Kevin Carey,
Associate Dean of Students, the Student Senate President/VP, and Karla-Carney Hall,
Vice President of Students Affairs/Dean of Students. We will discuss what your student
may be experiencing and processing with you about their academic and co-curricular
opportunities thus far!
Saturday, October 2: Virtual Escape Rooms
Come participate with your family in a virtual escape room together!
We would ask that you click here to register and let us know of your attendance at events. It will allow us to send
specific information out about these to registered families.
While we know some of you might have already made plans to visit your student, please
do. There is much to safely enjoy in the Bloomington-Normal community. We would ask
that when you are on campus you are practicing distancing and wearing a mask. Homecoming
is also occurring the weekend of October 1-3 virtually. Please click here to see Homecoming events and activities planned.
If there are any questions, please let us know by emailing email@example.com. You can also call the Office of Student Involvement at 309-556-3555 to ask any questions.
