Order of Omega

The Order of Omega is a national honor society with the purpose to recognize those students who have attained a high standard of leadership in inter-Greek activities, to encourage them to continue along this line, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment; to bring together the most representative fraternity and sorority members, and to create an organization which will help mold the sentiment of the institution on questions of local and intercollegiate affairs; and to bring together members of the faculty, alumni, and student members of the institution's fraternities and sororities on a basis of mutual interest, understanding, and cooperation.

Each spring, applications for membership are available. To be eligible, a fraternity or sorority member must have attended IWU for one full academic year, be a junior or senior in classification, have a cumulative GPA above the all-Greek average and must be in good standing with the initiate’s fraternal organization. Selection will be based on character, scholarship, fraternity and sorority experience and service to the University and local communities.
