B.S. Junior High/Middle School Education, M.S. English, Ph.D. Rhetoric and Composition, with a Cognate Field of Post-Secondary Pedagogy, Illinois State University

Debora is certified to teach K-12 and has taught elementary students, high school students, pre-service teachers, adult learners, parents, and provided professional development in gifted education at multiple districts in Illinois and in a number of foreign countries, including China, Hong Kong, Argentina, and Kenya.  She is a central Illinois native and has worked in both K-12 and higher education settings, both rural and urban, both private and public, as both teacher and administrator.  Serving on a local school board further enriched her educational knowledge base.  She previously served as Baccalaureate Program Coordinator for Lincoln College at Normal and as Certification Officer and Field Placement Coordinator for Bradley University.   She joined the Educational Studies department as an adjunct faculty member in May 2014 where she teaches a variety of educational courses and works with student teachers.
