Description and required skills:

The office of Student Activities –  Student Programmer position is looking to hire full time work study students (10 hours a week). Prior experience is not necessary. Full training will be provided to all new programmers. This position focuses on the planning and implementing of events for the entertainment of the campus and surrounding community.

The Student Programmers are responsible for development and coordination of all events sponsored by the Office of Student Activities. Some examples of these events include: movies, musicians, comedians, lectures etc. Applicants must be willing to cooperate with many different groups on campus such as events for Family Weekend, Homecoming, Student Senate shows etc. Student Programmers are also responsible for advertisement for all OSA events such as fliers, posters, table tents etc.

Applicants must be able to work in a fun team environment, possess problem solving techniques, have developed time management skills, and creative energy! Applicants will have the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of campus events as well as students, faculty, staff and community members. Work hours will include both office hours during the week Monday- Friday but also planned events on week/weekend nights such as Friday and Saturday night events. No experience needed, but a strong interest in subject is desired.
