Jennifer Brown recently joined the faculty at Illinois Wesleyan University and maintains a diverse performance and teaching schedule. Jennifer has performed with numerous ensembles including the Illinois Brass Quintet, the Danville Symphony Orchestra, The Prairie Ensemble, and the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra. Before moving to Illinois, Jennifer lived in Lexington, Kentucky where she was a member of the Lexington Brass Band and the Victory Brass Quintet.
Jennifer has been a dedicated teacher for fifteen years, teaching all ages and abilities. She earned her B.M. from the Cleveland Institute of Music where her teachers included Michael Sachs, Robert Sullivan and James Darling. She also received an M.M. from the University of Kentucky and is currently finishing a D.M.A. at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additional teachers include Ronald Romm, Charles Daval, Vincent DiMartino, and Mark Clodfelter.
At Illinois Wesleyan University, Jennifer teaches the trumpet studio and coaches brass chamber ensembles.
