Bio
Kevin P. Sullivan is Professor of Accounting at Illinois Wesleyan University. He is also the Daisy McFee Endowed Chair of Religion. He previously served as Professor and Chair of Religion and as Associate Dean of Curricular and Faculty Development, where he oversaw the Mellon Center for the Liberal Arts, directed the General Education Program, and led numerous campus-wide initiatives in faculty development, assessment, and strategic planning.
Dr. Sullivan earned his doctorate from the University of Oxford (The Queen’s College), following advanced study at the University of Michigan, the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, and the University of Notre Dame. His scholarship focuses on early Judaism, Christianity, and biblical interpretation, with publications including Wrestling with Angels and The Open Mind, along with numerous articles and chapters in leading journals and edited volumes.
An experienced academic leader, he has chaired major university committees, served as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission, and participated in the Illinois Board of Higher Education Faculty Advisory Council. His teaching spans accounting, biblical studies, theology, and world religions, reflecting his interdisciplinary expertise.
