Bio

David Wallace is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Business Administration at Illinois Wesleyan University. He teaches a wide range of marketing courses, including principles of marketing, consumer behavior, business-to-business marketing, strategic marketing management, and marketing analytics.

Dr. Wallace’s research explores omni-channel and multi-channel distribution strategies, interfirm relationships, service delivery, and internet marketing. His work has been published in leading journals such as Journal of Retailing, Decision Sciences, and Journal of Service Research. He frequently presents at national conferences and serves as a reviewer for major associations and journals in marketing and management.

Before his academic career, Dr. Wallace spent more than a decade in the outdoor retail industry, including eight years as Head Buyer at Mountain Gear and five years with Blue Ridge Mountain Sports. His experience managing merchandising, sales performance, and purchasing operations informs both his teaching and scholarship, offering students direct insights into the intersection of marketing theory and practice.
