Join fellow Illinois Wesleyan University alumni for a fun summer afternoon of connection, conversation, and community at Old Stove Brewing Co. - Gardens on Sunday, August 17th, from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids, your partner, or a fellow IWU friend and come enjoy the laid-back vibes of Ballard with good brews and even better company. Show your Titan pride by wearing your IWU gear if you have it, and look for the IWU sign on the table once you arrive — we’ll also post a photo of our spot the day of to help you find us.

Bianca N. Cotton ‘11 is a Chicago native and alumna of Chicago Public Schools, with a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Illinois Wesleyan University and a master’s degree from DePaul University. In her 2022 book, Captivating Confidence: An 11-Step Guide to Develop a Healthy Relationship with Yourself and Own Your Inner Greatness, Cotton talks candidly about her contrasting experience of smiling brightly on the outside and suffering silently on the inside. Through personal stories and practical steps, she takes her readers on a journey of personal growth, self-prioritization, and improved mental health. Audience members are encouraged to read Captivating Confidence: An 11-Step Guide to Develop a Healthy Relationship with Yourself and Own Your Inner Greatness prior to this virtual event and come prepared with questions for the author.
