Associates Membership Levels

As business and community leaders, Associates believe in the boundless potential of McLean County, and strive to build a solid foundation for the future by investing in local education and resources. Associates contribute generously to the McLean County Scholarship Fund, which provides over $36,000 annually to each student from McLean County. Thanks to the IWU Associates and the McLean County Scholarship, local student enrollment at IWU has increased by 56% in the past seven years.

Associates Membership

Become an Illinois Wesleyan University Associate by contributing or pledging $1,000 annually to the McLean County Scholarship Fund. Membership runs on IWU’s fiscal year (August 1 - July 31).


Understanding that an individual's philanthropic ability evolves over time, we have created the Junior Associates membership for those under 30 years of age. Junior Associates are young professionals and oftentimes beneficiaries of the McLean County Scholarship themselves, dedicated to the betterment of the community they will one day lead.

  • 29 years of age or younger
  • Contribute and/or pledge $500 to the McLean County Scholarship in the current fiscal year
    • Membership runs on IWU’s fiscal year (August 1 - July 31)

Generosity comes in many forms, and we are deeply grateful to the families and businesses who choose to sponsor their own Named McLean County Scholarship! Every new scholarship creates another opportunity for a student to change their community and the world.

  • Contribute and/or pledge $5,000 to the McLean County Scholarship Fund in the current fiscal year (renewed annually)
    • Renewal runs on IWU's fiscal year (August 1 - July 31) 
  • Recognition in web and print materials, as well as at the McLean County Scholarship Event (starting in spring 2027)
  • Option to use Family or Business name
