Make a gift in memory of someone no longer living or in honor of someone still living by using the secure online giving form. Stocks or securities may provide great tax benefits to the donor, especially if the stock is highly appreciated.In order to receive the maximum tax benefit from a gift of appreciated stock, it is important that the donor not sell it and give the funds generated from the sale to the University.
