Volunteering for IWU

IWU alum at Volunteer Workshop

Volunteers are often the lifeblood of a truly successful organization. Illinois Wesleyan prides itself on its dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer base.

There are many ways to assist the University in raising financial support, and new ideas are always welcome.

Giving Circles

One way to play a role in IWU's fundraising is to help establish a Giving Circle. Giving Circles are composed of individuals who come together to support a common goal. Gifts made by these individuals combine to do something greater as a whole than they would separately.

One popular option is to fund scholarships for students. These scholarships can be annually funded or endowed, based on the level of giving among the members of the group.

Annually funded scholarships start at $2,500. Many alumni like to combine their gifts to fund a scholarship at this level. The scholarship can be supported by the group each year, and the members have the opportunity to meet their student recipient(s).

Endowed scholarships start at $25,000. Often those making President's Club level gifts and higher combine to establish endowed scholarships. This is a great way to ensure that essential funds are available for students in perpetuity.
