Jason Richards ’96 Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Jason Richards

As a Phi Gamma Delta brother and standout football player at Illinois Wesleyan University, Jason "Golden" Richards ’96 embodied what it meant to be a Titan. Through his achievements on and off the field, he truly lived out the Fiji values of friendship, knowledge, service, morality, and excellence.

To honor Jason's memory and his legacy of brotherhood, Fiji brother John Wilmas ’96 created this memorial endowed scholarship to ensure that Illinois Wesleyan Fijis, now and in the future, have access to the same Titan experience that Jason did.

Jason Richard ’96 Memorial Scholars embrace the values of Phi Gamma Delta and are in good standing with the University, maintaining a grade point average above the all-men's average at IWU.

How can you support the Jason Richards ’96 Memorial Endowed Scholarship?

Make a Gift

While at IWU Jason was a member of the IWU Math Society, served as an officer for Phi Gamma Delta, and was selected as a First Team GTE Academic All-American in 1995. In 1996 he was chosen as an "Order of Titans" member on the basis of his academic accomplishments, athletic contributions, and general citizenship.

Gifts to the Jason Richards ’96 Memorial Endowed Scholarship are a meaningful way to honor a fellow classmate, fraternity brother, and teammate, while also giving future Fiji students the support they need to make the most of their IWU experience.
