Education

Arleta A. deDianous received a B.S.N. from the University of Illinois in 1991 and an M.S. in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program at California State University at Long Beach in 1994.

Biography

Prior to joining the School of Nursing at Illinois Wesleyan University in 2003, Ms. deDianous devoted several years as a Nurse Practitioner Subinvestigator at Asthma and Allergy Research Associates in Normal, Illinois. She also taught as a clinical instructor at Heartland Community College. Before returning to Illinois, Ms. deDianous was a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of Texas Medical Branch as well as at the East Texas Community Health Center in Nacogdoches, Texas. Her professional career began in orthopedics at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois and expanded to the pediatric units of Loma Linda and Redlands Community Hospitals in California.

Honors and Memberships

Ms. deDianous is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning, and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
