Wish You Were Here: Postcards from the School of Art & Design alumni

In Spring of 2026, a blank postcard was sent to hundreds of alumni of Illinois Wesleyan University's School of Art & Design, with the direction to do something -- anything -- to it, and to return it to us for inclusion in an exhibition. Participants could paint, draw, write, collage, or anything else they liked to the postcard, and we promised to exhibit it. What results is Wish You Were Here: Postcards from the School of Art & Design Alumni; 65 postcards celebrating the history and present of our department. 

The exhibition is up until October 19th, and runs concurrent with Caroline Burton: Metropolis. There will be a special breakfast reception for Wish You Were Here held during Homecoming on Saturday, October 11, from 9-11am in the gallery.
