Ames School of Art & Design

Seulki Seo is a design researcher, interdisciplinary artist, and educator working at the intersection of critical interface studies and visual culture. Her research focuses on the institutional conditions under which images function as interfaces. She has worked across corporate and startup environments, including Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics.

 

Seo earned a BFA in Painting and Art History at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, and an MFA in Visual Art at Washington University in St. Louis as a scholar at McDonnell International Scholars Academy. Seo was appointed the inaugural Post-MFA Fellow at Sam Fox School at Washington University in St. Louis, where she served as a lecturer. Currently, she is an assistant professor in Design at Illinois Wesleyan University.
