Illinois Wesleyan accounting and financial services graduates are employed in executive and partner positions at Fortune 500 and other companies around the globe. Other graduates have pursued graduate studies in MBA or other programs.
One of these outstanding alumni is Rod Adams ’95. He is US Recruiting Leader at PwC. He leads a team that is responsible for hiring more than 15,000 full-time professionals and interns. He also is charged with driving innovation in PwC's recruiting programs, as well as social and digital brand-building activities, that deliver on PwC's commitment to building leaders who build the future.
Adams also serves on Illinois Wesleyan’s Accounting Advisory Board, working with faculty to identify and recruit top accounting students and to improve the curriculum. He also serves as a board member of the Posse Foundation Chicago Advisory Board, an organization that recruits, identifies and awards deserving high school students with four-year, full-tuition leadership merit scholarships.
He was named the Robert M. Montgomery Outstanding Young Alumnus for outstanding professional achievement, civic leadership or both.
Each year more and more I appreciate the experience that I had at Illinois Wesleyan. You obviously get a great education here, but the friends that you made, the lessons that you learned are really what it’s all about.
