CETAL Grants
CETAL manages the new AI Innovation Grant. See the Internal Grants Overview page for more information on internal grants. There are three AI Innovation Grant review periods during the academic year. See the most up-to-date version of the Faculty Development Handbook for the current year's official dates/deadlines and detailed grant information. Please submit AI Innovation Grant applications to the CETAL via cetal@iwu.edu with all relevant documents combined in a single PDF.
Applications should be at most two pages and address the following items:
- How the project will use generative AI to improve teaching and learning at IWU.
- How the funds will be spent (including expected expenses and desired stipend; similar to other internal grants, like ASDs, CDs, etc.).
- An explicit plan to address common AI concerns, such as academic integrity and data privacy.
- A timeline (limited to one year, maximum) of expected progress and milestones, including planned assessment of the project's outcomes.
- What concrete deliverables will be produced (software, a course module, an open educational resource, etc.) and how that will be disseminated to the IWU community at large (and potentially beyond).
