Sheri Marley

Dance Instructor, Theatre Arts

Sheri Marley has taught dance at IWU since 1989.  She currently teaches Modern I, II & III, Jazz I, Social Dance and Broadway Dance Repetory Class. She served as Artistic Director and teacher for Der Tanz (M.C.D.A.). For IWU's School of Theatre Arts she has choreographed the musicals Of Thee I Sing, Lucky Nurse and the musical revue All I Need Are Words and has assisted student choreographers on the musicals  Hello Again and Passion. Outside of SoTA she has choreographed musicals for Peoria's Eastlight Theatre and Bloomington's Community Players. She choreographs for IIWU's biannual Faculty Choreographed Dance Concert and serves as Adviser for the annual Student Choreographed Dance Concert. For the past five summers, she has taught dance workshops in Peoria and Bloomington at private dance studios. Currently, she is a member of the Backdoor Dance Company. She is known to the IWU community as the "Queen of the Flash Mob."
