Mission Statement: As Student Senate's Diversity and Inclusion Commissioner, I want to work towards ensuring that diverse communities on campus feel integrated into the broader IWU community, while also creating a sense of empowerment that allows them to celebrate their individual uniqueness. Through effective collaboration, we want to ensure that efforts to bring much needed change do not exist in isolation, and that the multitude of voices on campus are heard, loud and clear.

Duties: Chair the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Provide quality, educational experiences or programming based on the IWU, local, national, or global community. These topics may include issues of gender, religion, race, and additional topics with a focus on diversity or inclusion. Lead at least two programs or initiatives each semester, including the Unity gala in the spring semester. Serve as a liaison to the Student Senate for student groups whose missions align with the values of diversity and inclusion.
