BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Five new trustees were elected to the Illinois Wesleyan Board of Trustees at its May meeting.
Joining the Board in 2026 will be Justin Ahrens '94, Jason Dinges '98, Elizabeth Nohren '98, Jim Richter '93 and John Strosahl '89.
Justin Ahrens
Justin Ahrens earned his BFA in graphic design from Illinois Wesleyan University and founded Rule29 in 2000.
As Chief Creative Officer of Rule29, Justin leads the agency’s Making Creative Matter® approach, bringing creativity and strategy together to help organizations grow, strengthen culture, and use their work as a force for good. Over his 30-year career, he has guided brand strategy and creative work for startups, nonprofits, Fortune 50 companies, and international organizations.
Justin is the author of Life Kerning and his new book, Being HumanKind. In 2025, he co-founded ON Purpose, a framework and community created to help leaders move values from words into daily action.
He has presented at TEDx, Adobe MAX, and the Obama White House. He has also taught design at Notre Dame and Kent State and contributed to the American Institute of Graphic Arts’s Design for Good initiative.
Ahrens' social impact work includes Wheels4Water, a campaign that helped provide clean water and sanitation training to more than 20,000 people in Africa. The project was recognized by Fast Company as a World Changing Idea.
Jason Dinges
Since 2011, Dr. Jason Dinges has been part of the investment team at Morningside Technology Advisory LLC, a diversified investment group based in Boston, where he also serves as intellectual property counsel. At Morningside, Jason helps build and finance companies developing innovative healthcare technologies.
He earned a B.S. in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University, a Ph.D. in Genetics from Iowa State University, and a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. Before joining Morningside, Jason spent five years as an associate attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP, where he practiced intellectual property law in the firm's Chemical, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Practice Group.
Jason represents Morningside on the boards of several portfolio companies, including CellCentric, Geneoscopy, Prilenia Therapeutics, DeepCure, and Enyo Pharma. In these roles, he works closely with management teams to help shape clinical development, regulatory, intellectual property, and corporate strategies.
Outside of work, Jason manages his family's farm in Warsaw, Illinois.
Elizabeth Nohren
Liz Nohren is a seasoned attorney, licensed mediator, and fifth-generation legal professional from Shelby County, Illinois. Recognized as a Leading Lawyer every year since 2019, her background includes commercial litigation, estate planning, real estate, and family law.
In addition to managing her family’s firm, Dove & Dove, Nohren has developed a respected mediation practice that spans both family law and civil disputes. A cofounder of the Illinois Mediation Clinic, she assists clients with parenting responsibilities, financial matters, and also mediates civil cases including real estate, construction litigation, and a wide range of contract and business conflicts.
Nohren earned a bachelor of arts in political science at Illinois Wesleyan University and her law degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. She also studied at Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago.
Jim Richter
Dr. Jim Richter became the Senior Director of Scientific Affairs with Eli Lilly and Company in 2025. Previously, he served as a Pathologist with Roche Diagnostics in Indianapolis and with MD Biosciences/MLM Medical Labs in Hopkins, Minnesota.
Richter received a B.A. in natural science at Illinois Wesleyan and his M.D. from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He did fellowships in transfusion medicine and surgical pathology at the University of Minnesota, and his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Loyola University Medical Center. He has co-authored research in peer-reviewed journals the American Journal of Clinical Pathology and Oncotarget.
His volunteer activities include service on the Hope and Healing Committee of the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Ministerial Review Board of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul-Minneapolis. He has volunteered extensively for Illinois Wesleyan, currently serving on the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
John Strosahl
John Strosahl has served as Chief Executive Officer of Jamf and as a member of its Board since September 2023. Based in Minnesota, Jamf provides device management and security solutions for organizations enabling their IT teams to remotely connect and manage Apple devices at scale. Before assuming his current role, Strosahl served in various leadership roles at Jamf, including Chief Operating Officer, President and Chief Revenue Officer.
Prior to joining Jamf, Strosahl was a Vice President at eBay Inc., and prior to joining eBay, he held various executive roles at Digital River, Inc., a global e-commerce company.
In 2024, Strosahl was appointed to the board of directors of PROS Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of AI-powered SaaS pricing, CPQ, revenue management and digital offer marketing solutions.
He earned a bachelor of arts in history from Illinois Wesleyan University and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
