Ann Aubry

Director of Communications

Ann Aubry leads the Office of University Communications, managing internal and external messaging, media relations, digital platforms, and crisis communications. She joined Illinois Wesleyan in 2002 after 10 years as a print journalist.

Chris Francis ’13

Magazine Editor & Communications Specialist

Chris Francis edits the Illinois Wesleyan University Magazine, distributed three times a year to alumni and friends. He joined the Communications staff in 2022, with previous experience as an editor at Sourcebooks and as a freelance editor, writer and designer.

Anyssa Hampton

Social Media Manager

As Social Media Manager, Anyssa Hampton leads Illinois Wesleyan’s social media strategy to highlight campus life and strengthen the University’s online presence. She joined the Communications staff in 2025 with previous experience in nonprofit and collegiate athletic communications.

Ryan Gibson

Digital Content Manager

Ryan helps oversee the creation, organization, and optimization of IWU website content. He joined the department in 2025 and brings experience in higher education web management and digital marketing.
