April is one of the busiest months at Illinois Wesleyan. Woven among the major events and ceremonies were some standout activities that brought joy and celebration to campus as Titans finished out the school year. Check out a few of the monthly highlights below.

Holi Festival of Colors 

Students celebrated Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colors, to mark the arrival of spring by throwing colored powder on the Eckley Quad and enjoying a meal together in the Memorial Center.

Celebration of Music and World Languages 

The Language Resource Center and the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures hosted a celebration of music and world languages on the stage of McPherson Beach.

Students enjoyed lawn games, s’mores and a bonfire on the Friday before finals week as part of the “Funsell” Spring Fest.

Festival of the Arts

Alumni, faculty, staff and friends from IWU’s College of Fine Arts gathered for the inaugural Festival of the Arts, a weekend of performances, workshops and connections to celebrate the fine arts programs at Illinois Wesleyan.

Aspiration Fountain Chalking

Following Titan tradition of first-year students chalking their future goals around Aspiration Fountain during Turning Titan Orientation, faculty and staff chalked the names of every 2025 graduate around the fountain in honor of their achievements ahead of Commencement.
