Students Invited to Attend Spring Internship, Job Fair

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. ⁠— More than 50 employers will be on campus to connect with Illinois Wesleyan University students during the Hart Career Center’s Spring Job and Internship Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Shirk Center. 

Organizations in attendance will include State Farm, Country Financial, Carle BroMenn Medical Center and many more. These businesses will be looking both to fill full-time positions and offer internships. More information about the attending organizations is available here .

Students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 50 employers on Feb. 22 at the Spring Job and Internship Fair.

“Internships are vitally important today as employers expect candidates to have experience in their field when bringing in new talent. Students should prepare by updating their resumes, researching the organizations they plan to visit and thinking about how they will present themselves when speaking with employers,” said Warren Kistner, director of the Hart Career Center.

Students should enter the Shirk Center through the main entryway and are strongly encouraged to wear business casual attire. 

The team of advisors at the Hart Career Center assists Illinois Wesleyan students with the transition from college to career, providing exploration and guidance for jobs and internships, as well as preparation for graduate or professional programs.

Job placement for IWU graduates consistently ranks among the top in the nation , with more than 96% of recent alumni reporting they are employed or enrolled in graduate programs.

To schedule an appointment with the Hart Career Center before the fair, visit Handshake or call the office at 309-556-3071. The Career Center also hosts Walk-in-Wednesdays for students from 10 a.m. - noon and 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
