Student Leaders, Organizations Recognized for Involvement with Do Well & Do Good Awards

April 21, 2023

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Office of Student Involvement recognized several Illinois Wesleyan students, faculty and organizations at the annual Do Well & Do Good Involvement Awards ceremony on April 10.

Sponsored by the Office of Student Involvement, the third annual ceremony is named for a quote from former Illinois Wesleyan President Minor Myers jr., “Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.”

“It's very apparent that the students and programs nominated have had a positive impact on the community here,” said Assistant Director of Student Involvement, Julie Henderson. “We have countless amazing students, (student organizations) and programs at IWU. I hope they all value this time to really celebrate one another and inspire each other to continue all their hard work for next year.”

Students, faculty and their organizations gathered in Hansen Student Center to celebrate the awarded categories. Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students Karla Carney-Hall commended all nominees and recipients of the Do Well & Do Good awards for both their success in campus involvement as well as the significance of their impact.
