School of Music to Host Illinois Chamber Music Festival

The 19th annual Illinois Chamber Music Festival will take place July 11-25, 2021.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The 19th annual Illinois Chamber Music Festival for junior high, high school and college string, piano, woodwind and harp players will take place July 11-25, 2021, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University’s School of Music, with in-person and virtual sessions available this summer.

July 11-16, chamber music coachings for local/commuting students will take place for one hour per day, along with virtual master classes, technique classes, sessions on various music topics, and lessons for two hours per day.

July 17-25, a full in-person chamber music program will take place at Illinois Wesleyan. The schedule includes daily chamber music coachings, rehearsals, masterclasses, elective studies, and performances by students and faculty. Room and board is available for a limited number of residential participants.
