Intern Housing
Looking for a place to stay while interning in the Bloomington-Normal, IL area this summer? We’ve got you covered! Illinois Wesleyan is offering apartment-style housing for college students—undergraduate or graduate—working internships in Summer 2026.
2026 Proposed Program Dates

Interns can choose the move-in and move-out that best fits their schedule, and partial months will be prorated. There is a 30 consecutive night minimum stay required.
Eligibility
Interns must be actively enrolled as college students (undergraduate or graduate) and have an internship in the Bloomington-Normal area.
Pricing
The early bird rate is $24 per night for applications submitted and fees paid. Any registrations received after April 1st will be charged at $26 per night.
Registration Process
We will begin accepting applications starting September 1, 2026. Once you complete the application and submit the $25 application fee, we will reserve your spot.
Additionally, we will send you details regarding the contract and housing deposit. The deposit paid applies to the balance due and is required to confirm your place with us for Summer 2026.

Housing
All interns are housed in The Gates at Wesleyan apartments, located on Empire Street in Bloomington. Each apartment features four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The nightly rate includes all utilities, parking, and in-unit laundry. Each bedroom comes furnished with a bed, desk, and storage space (please bring your own full-sized linens). The apartment also includes a living room and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, fridge, dishwasher, and oven. Please note, you will need to bring your own cookware, plates, utensils, towels, soap, and other supplies. There is a TV in the apartment, but you would need your own streaming device to connect to programming.
