Join the ORL Staff as an RCA

Hello and welcome!

We're thrilled that you're exploring the ORL Staff Selection website. This is the first step on the road to becoming an active member of the Residential Life Staff. What lies before you is an opportunity that will change your life.

Residential Community Advisor (RCA)

(RCAs) are second- and third-year student-staff members living in the residence halls. Residential Community Advisors work in traditional residence halls to build staff community through program coordination and staff development. They also manage the front desk area and serve on various Office of Residential Life Committees. Finally, Residential Community Advisors mentor new student-staff members and serve as a contact in the absence of the Area Director.

How to Apply

Lead RCA and RCA Candidates

We will be posting the Lead RCA and RCA application in December 2019. 

NOTE: RCA candidates must have been a FY/RARCA for at least one full Fall or Spring semester prior to application submission. Lead RCA candidates must have been a RCA for at least one full Fall or Spring semester prior to application submission.

Application requirements:

  • Cover letter, resume, supplemental material, application questions - these are all submitted through the application.  

Interviews:

  • Applicants will be contacted to schedule various in person interviews upon submission of their application via email.
