Favorite memory: "I spent the last month of my semester working on a personal research project and stayed in a homestay with an indigenous family. They left a life-long impact on me because of how they welcomed me with open arms having never hosted a student before. They also put a lot in perspective for me about my own life and made me appreciate everything I have in the U.S. I still communicate with them to this day, and I consider them to be like a second family to me!."
