SPINPlus is a comprehensive web-based system comprised of three product modules, including a database of funding opportunities (SPIN), a database of investigator profiles (GENIUS), and a matching alert service (SMARTS).  This online search tool is accessible to all members of the Illinois Wesleyan community and is a great resource for finding fellowship, research, travel, etc. grant opportunities.  These products work together to ensure that your faculty/PIs are quickly and efficiently able to locate the most current funding opportunities available in their field of interest.  Access is available anonymously from any campus computer, however, searches may not be saved unless you have an account.  To establish a profile and account, which allows for remote access and save functions, please follow these steps:

1) Go to www.infoedglobal.com
2) Click on the GENIUS link along the top of the page
3) Choose Create New Profile
4) Select your institution
5) Fill out the New Profile Registration Page - select the department listed
6) Click Submit
7) You will now be at a page called the Profile Summary Page - do not fill anything out on this page. Scroll to the     bottom and click Log Out
8) Your Administrator will now receive an e-mail and they will need to validate your profile. Once validated you will then be able to sign into SPIN for added functionality (saving your criteria and searches) and remote access
