Web Proxy Management

Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (commonly referred to as “FERPA” or the “Buckley Amendment”), students have a right to consent to disclosures of their Education Records.

Granting Proxy Access

Students may authorize individuals (Proxies) to view selected information through the Proxy Management system in Banner Self-Service.

  • Proxies receive their own secure login
  • Students choose what information is shared
  • Proxies may speak with designated university staff about authorized information (if permitted)

Note: Billing information is not included in Proxy Management.
Access to financial records and payments is managed separately through Transact (see Making Payment).
