25-26 Visiting Professor of Accounting

The Department of Accounting at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) invites applications for a new Visiting Assistant Professor position.  Employment will begin August 2025. The department seeks a faculty member who can teach a variety of accounting classes. We are especially interested in candidates who can teach courses in the following areas:

Introduction to Financial Accounting
Introduction to Managerial Accounting
Cost Accounting

Candidates must have graduated from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants are expected to have earned a graduate degree in accounting (e.g., PhD, MS or MBA) or hold a CPA by August 1, 2025. Relevant professional experience is appreciated.

This teaching position is a full time, nine month, on-campus position. The position includes an eight-course assignment per year (4/4) load. The salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$75,000.00, as well as, access to a full benefits package.  An overview of IWU benefits can be found here.

Exciting things are happening as our department is in the midst of evolving our curriculum to further meet these goals. The departments of Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, and Finance have recently joined into a single entity to create a new School of Business and Economics.
