Illinois Wesleyan University is a Google Apps for Education school.  All students & teachers have free access to the Google suite of applications that include: Google Docs (word processing), Sheets (spreadsheet), Presentations (slide presentation), Sites (website creation), Calendar and more that offers the ability to work from any device. All Google Apps save to the cloud with UNLIMITED storage, which gives teachers and students the flexibility to work from any computer or device as well as save work and collaborate both synchronously asynchronously.

Google Docs is an online word processor that lets you create and format text documents and collaborate with multiple users (Students & Teachers) simultaneously in real time.

  • Upload a Word document and convert it to a Google document

  • Collaborate online in real time and chat with others   from inside the document

Google Sheets

Google Sheets is an online spreadsheet app that lets you create and format spreadsheets and simultaneously work with other people. 

  • Import and convert Excel, .csv, .txt and .ods formatted data to a Google spreadsheet
  • Export Excel, .csv, .txt and .ods formatted data, as well as PDF and HTML files
  • Use formula editing to perform calculations on your data, and use formatting to make it look the way you'd like
