Registered Student Organizations
Feminist Killjoys
The Feminist Killjoys aim to give students a medium in which to share their feminist
ideologies through catered events and dialogue on feminist theory and values. Membership
is open to anyone who wants a free space to debate, discuss and/or observe the exchange
of feminist ideals.
IWU Women in Politics
Women in Politics aim to give students a place to connect with other students who
share certain political ideologies. Women in Politics also aim to present opportunities
through coordinating meetings with political activists. Membership is open to all
individuals who wish to have a respectful dialogue about everything political. Find

Women's Health Alliance
The purose of the Women's Health Alliance is to increase awareness about women’s health.
Currently, male subjects continue to dominate clinical medical research, which leads
to a lack of parity in women’s health education. By bringing more awareness and openly
talking about women’s health, we seek to address these disparities in younger generations,
particularly those in grammar and secondary school.
Fraternities and Sororities
Fraternities and Sororities have been a part of Illinois Wesleyan University since 1866, playing an important role in the lives of thousands of students and alumni. Their educational programs, social activities, service projects, and leadership development opportunities contribute much to the University community. IWU currently has eight values-based chapters that vary in individual missions; however each chapter was founded on the principles of scholarship, service, leadership and community.

Council for IWU Women
The Council for IWU Women (CFW) give time, talent, and resources to support the personal
and professional development of the women of Illinois Wesleyan.
The Council sponsors an annual Women’s Weekend, providing opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and Council members to discuss social topics concerning women, network with successful alumnae, and channel inspiration to take on leadership roles in today's world.
CFW Women’s Weekend events are free and open to the Illinois Wesleyan community, alumni, faculty, staff and students.
Academic Programs
Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies is an interdisciplinary major & minor sequence encompassing courses that open discussion about the ways in which gender and sexuality construct our lives and institutions.
Residential Experiences
Currently, the newly renovated Donnocker Hall is available as a women-only residence.
The Rainbow Floor, established in Dolan Hall, is a gender inclusive living-learning community.
Policies, Support and Resources
Illinois Wesleyan strives to provide care and support for students who are Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming(TGNC) through various campus processes, resources and programs.
Report of Sexual or Gender-based Misconduct
The Confidential or Anonymous Report of Sexual or Gender-based Misconduct form may
be used to submit complaints, reports or concerns about sexual or gender-based misconduct,
including sexual harassment, sexual assault, stalking, and dating/domestic violence.
Title IX
Illinois Wesleyan is committed to creating, fostering and maintaining an educational,
employment, business and campus environment that is free of discrimination on the
basis of sex, gender and all forms of sexual misconduct.
Pregnancy Policy
The University is dedicated to supporting all students, employees, and job applicants,
especially those who are pregnant or have health issues related to pregnancy.
