Illinois Wesleyan will honor Wayne P. Messmer '72 as its 2017 Distinguished Alumnus, Charlene A. Carruthers '07 as the Outstanding Young Alumna and Betty Stoutenborough Ritchie-Birrer '47 as the Loyalty Award Winner during Homecoming activities on Friday, Oct. 13.
Illinois Wesleyan's School of Nursing will honor Cheryl Reinking '87 with its Distinguished Alumna Award for Excellence in Nursing during Homecoming events on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Carl Teichman, a 1980 alumnus and director of government and community relations at Illinois Wesleyan, was named Citizen of the Year by the Town of Normal.
Ninety-six percent of Illinois Wesleyan’s Class of 2016 were employed or attending graduate school within six months of graduation.
