Campus Invited to Second Annual Unity Gala

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –– The Illinois Wesleyan University campus community is invited to attend the Second Annual Unity Gala on Saturday, March 2, at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Center’s Young Main Lounge.

Last year marked the inaugural Unity Gala, inspired by Jessica Sheelam '20 and Walter Carter of the Physical Plant. The goal of the Unity Gala is to provide a semi-formal event for the entire campus community. Last year's attendees marveled at the event's joyous atmosphere and ability to bring everyone together in celebration and style. The Unity Gala hosted over 400 students, faculty, staff and alumni who walked the red carpet. Organizers include The Alliance, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Student Senate's David Stanton '20.

The semi-formal event kicks off with a live jazz band followed by a DJ and dancing at 9 p.m. A variety of hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served at no cost.
