Visiting Assistant Professor Accounting Faculty Position
Illinois Wesleyan University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in accounting beginning August 2023. We seek an experienced, dynamic, and caring academic professional with evidence of teaching excellence, a commitment to undergraduate accounting education, professional certification (CPA or similar), and relevant professional work experience. The position requires a minimum of an M.S. in Accounting or an M.B.A. with a concentration
in Accounting or a Ph.D. in Accounting or a D.B.A. with an Accounting emphasis. The
applicant will provide evidence of teaching effectiveness at the undergraduate level.
In addition, the successful candidate is required to hold professional certification
(CPA or similar), and have relevant professional work experience in the accounting

Our primary need is for someone to teach two sections of Introduction to Managerial
Accounting and one section of Income Tax Accounting in the fall and three sections
of Introduction to Managerial Accounting in the spring. The ideal candidate will also
be able to teach an Excel lab course attached to managerial accounting. We seek candidates
who are truly superior undergraduate teachers.
