AVP/VP for Enrollment Management
The AVP/VP for Enrollment Management is responsible for ongoing development of comprehensive visionary objectives for enrollment and financial aid that reflects IWU's larger mission and strategic goals. Leads implementation of these objectives by designing, managing and monitoring coordinated admissions and enrollment programs. will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the university’s enrollment management efforts. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing integrated strategies that align the recruitment, admissions, and retention functions to achieve enrollment goals and elevate the university’s brand. Serves as a key member of the senior leadership team, working closely with faculty, staff, and constituents to enhance the institution’s visibility, market positioning, and competitive advantage in a rapidly changing higher education landscape. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In consultation with the President, develop and oversee the university's comprehensive admissions, enrollment and financial aid strategies; develop, execute and monitor financial aid leveraging strategies and vendor management; develop, execute and monitor the university's Strategic Enrollment plan, annually with key goals of maintaining or increasing student quality, increasing revenue, and attracting students of various perspectives and backgrounds; analyze and evaluate data to understand industry trends as well as fluctuations within the admissions funnel; analyze and develop strategies for new market opportunities and additional pipelines for growth
- Provide visionary leadership to enrollment management, creating a collaborative and results-driven culture; oversee the hiring, training, and operations of staff within the department; provide guidance and support to the Assistant Dean of Admissions & Director of Financial Aid to ensure success; develop and lead staff
- Continual assessment of the effectiveness of enrollment management progress, policies, processes, technology, vendor support, recruitment activities and financial aid programs; develop and maintain a continuous data-driven effort to shape strategic direction and make appropriate adjustments; stay on top of market trends and recommend options that are best fit with IWU’s strategies and budget; ensure all visits are excellent experiences from the prospective student perspective; effectively use data to understand and shift strategies as needed
- Represent the University and Enrollment Management within the community and to key constituents; present analysis and reports, including enrollment and revenue projections to university leadership, including Cabinet and Trustees; work in partnership with the Enrollment & Marketing Committee of the Board of Trustees; serve as a senior thought leader in matters of enrollment and financial aid to the President’s Cabinet
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
- Minimum of eight years progressive experience in admissions
- Weekend and evening hours required
