Recruitment Coordinator/Orientation
This role will develop and implement recruitment activities for students to connect directly with employers and explore their career interests. It will lead efforts for Handshake, the Hart Career Center's main platform, and carry out the assessment of Career Center programming and support Career Center operations. This role will also coordinate orientation programming, such as Rising Titan and Turning Titan, to create a sense of belonging for incoming students. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Orientation Coordinator; manage the electronic registration process for Rising Titan (January and Summer Orientations) and provide regular communication to incoming students and families; coordinate and communicate logistics, scheduling and set-up for programming; support orientation leaders with scheduling training, managing forms, and co-leading the interview/selection process; manage communications with parents and families; coordinate and manage check-in/welcoming process for orientation sessions
- Recruitment Coordination and Employer Development; coordinate directly with employers to assess their hiring needs and determine the most effective recruiting options; coordinate employer visits which include on-campus interviews, information sessions, practice interviews, classroom presentations and resume collection; oversee interview schedules and postings for campus recruitment using Handshake; leverage Handshake to manage and promote internship opportunities
- Career Fairs/Employer Event Coordinator; provide event management logistics and employer outreach for four annual campus career fairs; oversee and balance budget for career fairs; coordinate employer information sessions; assist with the logistics and execution for the annual Career Immersion Excursion
- Campus liaison for Handshake; ensure maximum usage of system and recommend area to improve efficiency; use independent judgement to approve employers requesting access to Handshake and jobs/internships coming through system; utilize system to implement marketing campaigns advertising online resources, events and postings; manage records, such as communication with the Registrar’s Office and IT, for our student information; train campus departments on employer functionality to post their student openings
- Hart Career Center office administration; track departmental budget; process invoices, transaction envelopes and expense reports; website management; create and maintain spreadsheets and usage reports; create and disseminate assessments of Career Center programming; prepare various student surveys, including annual First Destination Graduate survey
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s preferred; five years’ experience in student facing role or human resources may substitute for education
- Minimum of three years related experience; customer service or education setting a plus
