The McLean County Scholarship is awarded to students who are residents of McLean County that have been accepted into Illinois Wesleyan University. This Inititative guarantees no less than $30,000 in scholarship support for local students. Illinois Wesleyan values local students, and their futures, by making this initiative a priority.
The Illinois Wesleyan Associates are group of local community business leaders and alumni that established the McLean County Scholarship fund. Because of donor contributions toward this fund, Illinois Wesleyan has seen an increase of 56% in McLean County student enrollment since the launch of the McLean County Scholarship and the number of applications continues to increase.
Eligibility and Requirements for McLean County Scholarship Recipients
Have been admitted to Illinois Wesleyan University (without restrictions)
Are residents of McLean County
Are seniors graduating from the following high schools: Bloomington, Bloomington Central Catholic, Calvary Christian, Cornerstone Christian, Heyworth, LeRoy, Lexington, Normal Community, Normal West, Olympia, Ridgeview, Tri-Valley, University High (McLean County homeschool students are also eligible for consideration for this scholarship)
Live in on-campus housing while an IWU student (includes residence halls, sorority or fraternity housing, or a University owned apartment)
Transfer students who attended a McLean County high school are also eligible for the McLean County Scholarship.
