Jazz Lab Ensemble to Perform

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— Illinois Wesleyan University’s Jazz Lab Ensemble will present a concert on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place in Presser Hall’s Westbrook Auditorium and is free and open to the public.

Directed by Adjunct Instructor in the School of Music Glenn Wilson, the program will feature: Thelonious Monk's “Well you Needn't,” Lee Morgan’s “Sidewinder,” Sonny Rollins’ “Doxy” and Wayne Shorter’s “Footprints.” The concert will also include works by American composers and pianists Duke Ellington and Herbie Hancock.

Comprised of both music and non-music majors, the Jazz Lab Ensemble performs many styles of jazz music. The group has appeared on recent national and international tours.
