School of Art to Host Faculty Biennial Reception During Homecoming

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.—The Illinois Wesleyan University Merwin and Wakeley Galleries will host a reception for the Faculty Biennial Exhibit on Saturday, October 14 at 2 p.m. The reception will take place in the Joyce G. Eichhorn Ames School of Art Building (6 Ames Plaza West, Bloomington).
Showcasing the work of Illinois Wesleyan faculty in the Ames School of Art, the exhibit – on display from Oct. 9-Nov. 9 – includes works from all areas of the studio art program: painting, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, photography, ceramics, sculpture and glass.
Saturday's special Alumni Reception will celebrate the University’s Homecoming Week. Light refreshments will be served.
Preceding the reception in the galleries, faculty members and students from the School of Art will host demonstrations in glass and ceramics from 8:30-11 a.m. during Homecoming festivities on the Eckley Quadrangle. Kappa Pi Art Fraternity will also provide an artistic experience for children.
