BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— The Illinois Wesleyan University Wind Ensemble will present a concert on Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Hall’s Westbrook Auditorium.
The program will feature Frank Ticheli’s Sanctuary, Martin Ellerby’s Paris Sketches, Alfred Reed’s Armenian Dances, Part 1, and Robert Russell Bennett’s Suite of Old American Dances.
Conducted by Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Lev Ivanov, the Wind Ensemble is comprised of the top wind and percussion students at Illinois Wesleyan. The group performs the finest in wind percussion and literature and has had the opportunity to work with Pulitzer Prize winners and world-renowned composers. The group also tours regularly and has appeared at performances for the College Band Directors National Association Conference and the Illinois Music Educators Association Conference.
