BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— As part of the Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music’s New Music Series, the New Music Café will feature bassoon player and Illinois Wesleyan alumna Emily Stich ’15 along with guest clarinetist Blake McGee.
The concert will be held Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium. It is free and open to the public.
Stich is now a graduate student at the University of Michigan School of Music. McGee is currently assistant professor of clarinet at the University of Wyoming. As an active chamber musician and versatile performer, McGee has performed as a member of the Portland Opera, Vancouver Symphony, the Oregon Mozart Players Chamber Orchestra, as well as in several regional orchestras.
New Music Cafe’s program will include Seis Cosechas (Six Harvests), an original work by Fern Rosetta Sherff Professor of Composition and Theory David Vayo.
