Collegiate and University Choirs to Perform in Fall Choral Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— Illinois Wesleyan University’s Collegiate Choir and University Choir will present a Fall Choral Concert on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. The concert will take place at Wesley United Methodist Church, 502 E. Front St., Bloomington, and is free and open to the public.
The program will feature compositions by Argento, Austinas, Bárdos, Brahms, Martini, Mendelssohn, Pascanu, Vaughan Williams, and Victoria. Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities J. Scott Ferguson will conduct both choirs. The Collegiate Choir is dedicated to the performance of the finest sacred and secular choral music of the past five centuries. The group has collaborated with renowned professional ensembles such as the King’s Singers and the Orchid Ensemble. The University Choir, consisting of a wide variety of Illinois Wesleyan students from many fields of study across campus, performs sacred and secular choral literature of many different styles and time periods.
