Undercover 27 Music Competition Showcases Illinois Wesleyan Talent

BLOOMINGTON, Ill—The Undercover 27 music competition will be held on Friday, Nov. 6 at 9 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center. The Office of Student Activities will sponsor the concert.

This biannual event is a showcase of the musical talent that the Illinois Wesleyan student body has to offer. Contestants perform two cover songs from a wide variety of genres for a panel of guest judges, and these judges will then base their scores both on the quality of the performance, as well as the enthusiasm of the audience applause. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three performances.

This year’s lineup includes students from a wide variety of majors, including nursing, English, business and music.

  • Joey Pasternak ’19

The contestants will be judged by Illinois Wesleyan alum Ayethaw Tun ’15, Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion Brandon Common, and Director of Conference Services Michelle Wu.

The event is free and open to the public.
