Student Composition Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – As part of the IWU New Music Series, the Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will present the Student Composition Concert on Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public, and will feature six works composed by current Illinois Wesleyan students.

The concert’s composers include Loreto Delgado III ’16 and Sam Mullooly ’16, co-composing and performing Out of Nothing; Jack Druffel ’19, composing and performing Run with Jacob Taitel ’18 and Michael Olson ’17 on tuba and Han Lu ’16 on euphonium; Matt Mason ’16, composing and performing Dancing with Van Gogh on piano; Improvisation by Annie Wagner ’16 on viola and Mason on piano; Alex Riak ’18, composing and performing Sonata for a Madman on piano, and Shaun Schaefers ’16, composing and performing 74 at Dusk on piano.
