BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The 3D series (Diversity, Dignity and Dialogue) promotes campus equality through weekly discussions for all students, faculty and staff on topics such as human rights, race issues and gender roles.
This year, events will be held every Thursday except for Homecoming Week and fall break. Scheduled events include a performance of Witness Uganda, a musical chronicling aid worker Griffin Matthews’ experiences in Uganda; an interactive program on the issue of sexual violence against women; and a presentation by Beverly Smith, a University of Illinois student affairs professional and member of the Diné people. She will relate her own personal experiences and the often-silenced stories of Native Americans living in the U.S.
The 3D series is sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
