Wind Ensemble Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.— On Friday, November 8, the School of Music Wind Ensemble will present
a concert at Westbrook Auditorium of Presser Hall (1210 Park St., Bloomington) at
7:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
Steven W. Eggleston, professor of music, will conduct the concert and Emily Stich, Class of 2015 and winner of the IWU Wind Ensemble Solo Competition, will be featured as a soloist on bassoon.
The program will include “Four Scottish Dances” by Malcolm Arnold, “Children’s March” by Percy Aldridge Grainger, “Short Ride in a Fast Machine” by John Adams, “Funiculi-Funicula Rhapsody” by Luigi Denza, “Toccata Marziale” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Postcard” by Frank Ticheli, “Trauersinfonie” by Richard Wagner and “Concerto for Bassoon” by Gordon Jacob.
